Follow the Women France : 1er meeting
Dear all,
I’m happy to tell you that the French FTW team has been gathering during the week-end of the 9-10th september in the South of France.
The week-end was supported by the organisation « AFSCM, Women, sports and culture in mediterranean countries » which supported also the French team in 2004 and 2005.
The week-end was rich of talks: objectives, preparation, sponsor, media coverage, situation in Palestine and Middle-East. We had also a coach coming to give us advise to get prepared for the biking tour.
We are 18 women for now, from different part of France, from 27 to 67 years old, teacher, journalist, youth worker, in medical field... We are already expecting other women to join.
We all are very motivated to take action, to promote Follow The Women into media and find sponsors for the team and the tour itself. We are also very motivated to gather all the contacts we have in Israel and in French Jew women organisations who would be able to bike in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine.
Many questions have been raised such as the route, situation, events to be organised in the tour.
Next step for us, is to prepare a good sponsoring paper and presentation to media that all of us will bring to friends, family, job places and political contacts.
